Establishing a robust 37-marker mass cytometry assay for deep single-cell immune.. Presented By:
Adeeb Rahman, PhD - Director of Technology Development, Human Immune Monitoring Center - Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai New York

Speaker Biography:
Adeeb Rahman, PhD, is a broadly trained cellular immunologist with a research focus on the role of innate inflammation in shaping adaptive immunity in a range of disease settings, and a keen interest in technology, engineering and assay development. As Director of Technology Development for Mt Sinai's Human Immune Monitoring Center (HIMC), his overarching focus is on implementing and optimizing advanced technology platforms, particularly single cell techniques such as flow and mass cytometry (CyTOF) and single cell sequencing, to enable analyses of the complexity and heterogeneity of the immune system across diverse clinical conditions.

Co-Presented By:
Mona Al-Maarri, PhD - Product Manager Flow Cytometry - Miltenyi Biotec

Speaker Biography:
Mona Al-Maarri completed her PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute in Cologne, where she worked in the field of Cancer Research, Metabolism, and Immunology. Mona gained expert knowledge in the field of cell separation and flow cytometry. She joined the Marketing team of Miltenyi Biotec in August 2018 as a global product manager and is responsible for the mass cytometry as well as the flow cytometry antibody portfolio and is coordinating dedicated marketing activities

Webinar:
Establishing a robust 37-marker mass cytometry assay for deep single-cell immune profiling of whole blood

Webinar Abstract:
Mass cytometry (CyTOF®) is a powerful approach to characterize the immune composition of complex biological specimens and gain insights into immune correlates of disease. Successful large-scale CyTOF immune monitoring studies require several important considerations, ranging from panel design to data analysis. In this webinar, we describe our development and optimization of a 37-marker lyophilized antibody panel to profile whole blood samples in a multi-site pediatric allergy immune monitoring study.

Learning Objectives:
-Ensuring optimal data quality, including antibody target and clone selection
-Understaning Panel Development
-Understanding the optimization of a streamlined sample processing and data analysis pipeline
