*Read description first* As soon as Samus had recovered her body, her body turned into light particles that went into her suit. From the inside, her real body was now occupying the once-eerie empty space of air. Once she regained her senses, she unequipped her suit, revealing her Zero Suit form which she examined. "I have no words to what just happened," Mr. G&W said.
"Just...glad there's some eye candy...around..." groaned C. Falcon, still reeling from that kick to his right shin.
"We must continue," Samus said right before she began leading the group. As she did so, she high-fived the Mii Gunner without even glancing at her. The gunner incoherently cheered.
"Maybe the key to getting closer to her is by being mute," Pit said. "I can do that!"
"Pit, you need to fill out your spoken thousand-word quota for every day. It's going to be very hard," Palutena said.
"Aww, I love filling my quota just as much..."
As the group moved west and away from the volcano, Chris couldn't help asking, "So, um, are we going to leave Lucario at the base of the volcano?"
"Who," Pikachu asked flatly, a sly smile on his face. Getting the hint, Chris could only sigh.
Meanwhile, at the base of the volcano, Lucario sneezed.
Back to the west of the volcano, Samus eventually stumbled upon a very strange sight; a large sprout coming out from the ground. The sprout itself towered over everyone, unable to move its leaf by the dead winds. "It's gonna take a while to grow that thing!" Ivysaur said.
"So what now? Is this like the end of the journey?" Diddy asked. "Do we need some kinda item to make it grow?"
A Spirit from their stash suddenly shot out between them and the sprout. In a bright flash, a little girl appeared; the kind of little girl that none of them wanted to see, however, since it was Viridi, the goddess of nature. "I LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!" she announced, raising her wooden staff. "...Ha! I always wanted to say that," she giggled.
"Oh me, no," Palutena said.
Viridi was quick to scowl. "Ugh! I can't believe I was taken down by that weird monster and its beams of light. Palutena! You're a light aficionado! Is this your fault?" she asked, secretly enjoying the fact Palutena was just a mere wisp.
"Sorry, but I don't really employ monsters under my rule," Palutena said. "I only employ adorable lazy minions. And Pit. And sometimes Dark Pit on a good day. Monsters are too much to look after."
"Huh. You may be right. There's no way you could have a monster that strong around your temple."
Palutena's giggle hid her slight annoyance. "I could have one around, but I fear it may eat Pit. See, I'm benevolent to my slaves," she said.
"Yeah!" Pit said. "...Wait, what was the last wo-?"
"HAHA! Fine!" Viridi said. "So anyhow, I see you all are in a bind getting around these parts. Thankfully, I feel grateful enough to give you a helping godly green thumb," she boasted. "But I need some worship first."
"Help us out or we all die alongside you," Samus flatly said. Everyone else was a bit disturbed at her statement.
"...Geez, you drive a hard bargain. Okay, guess I'll do it without the pampering," Viridi muttered. She raised her staff and enveloped her magic onto the sprout, and quickly a large twisty beanstalk path rose through the skies to the clouds above. "There. Now go do the dirty work! I'm sensing the power of that monster dwindling with time as you go around the land. That's probably why I was able to materialize...or maybe I'm just that strong. Hee hee!"
Rolling their eyes, the group began to walk the long beanstalk. "What are you gonna do?" Pit asked her before he could ascend.
"I'm going back to my base and see what I can do to guard myself from another freak beam of light," Viridi said. "And I'm not looking forward to that because I have zero subjects right now. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh, why do goddesses have to do manual labor? It should be illegal," she groaned as she warped away.
