Johnny Mercer (1909-1976) was not a genius songwriter, but a good singer as well. Mercer sent record producer Ken Barnes (1933-2015) a bunch of tapes of Mercer singing. Barnes released these rare numbers on an album in 1982 after Mercer had died. This recording Mercer made in 1955.
