In a tragic incident, a labour received severe burn injuries after they came in contact with 33 KV live wires near a construction site at Barman Enterprise in Six Mile, Guwahati. The injured labour working at the site was identified as Shahdev Sheikh of Mankachar in South Salmara. It is to be noted that another labour Anjaan Hafiz of Sonitpur District also received minor injuries while trying to save his fellow Shahdev Sheikh.
Both Shahdev Sheikh and Anjaan was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. As per sources, Shahdev Sheikh was reported critical.
