Re-Discover: Via Real

Re-Discover: Via Real The name Via Real is synonymous with fine dining in Irving. 2019 marks thirty years of excellent service and delicious Santa Fe style cuisine at the popular Las Colinas restaurant. Susan Stephens visits with owner Fran Mathers and General Manager Michael Hampton for an update on the great dishes and service that have made Via Real an Irving favorite for three decades.

I hope y’all won’t be mad if I confess that I don’t speak much Spanish. Oh, I had it in high school-about 35 years ago-and I still remember how to be polite, and how to ask for a beer…no thanks to high school Spanish class. But I have discovered that I can get along fine without bi-linguality, all I need to do is go to Via Real and point at the menu – the WHOLE menu – because you can’t go wrong. Everything is delicious. And it has been that way for a long, long time. So we asked Susan Stephens to go back to Via Real and she was very happy to do just that. I think she pointed at the whole menu.
