With the Motor Vehicles Act 2019 coming into effect from September 1, several motorists in Guwahati have been paying the penalties. As per new Motor Vehicles Act 2019, the main traffic violations are against one way, not wearing a helmet, the pillion rider, not wearing a seat belt, riding without a helmet, using mobile phones while driving and no valid insurance documents, etc.
