Are you targeting the customers that count?

Are you targeting the customers that count? Many people start their marketing in the middle rather than at the beginning. What this means is that whilst they may have identified their ideal client, for example as part of a blogging or wider social media strategy, does that ideal client represent the group of people that potentially count most to their business?

In identifying your ideal client did you start at the beginning, with your why, the numbers you want to achieve, what's going on in the market..? Or did you start in the middle?
