Track composed by Alexander Brandon We now move onto a 2000 game that is a fan favourite amongst some old friends of mine: Deus Ex. This cyberpunk, dystopian FPS/RPG game is memorable for many reasons including its awesome soundtrack that employed Unreal Tournament UMX music files similar to XM or MOD format tracker files. The soundtrack was composed by veterans Alexander Brandon, Michiel van den Bos and Dan Gardopee and many of its tracks are just as fresh now as they were the day they were released - that's the beauty of the MOD format when compared to other formats such as MIDI which in many cases hasn't aged as well.
This track by Alexander Brandon is particularly memorable as its the title theme and you'll hear this same leitmotif in several tracks including the title theme for the sequel.
