World's most expensive chocolate launched in India

VIDEO India's luxury chocolate brand launched the world's most expensive chocolate on Tuesday (October 22) in Mumbai.

Priced at 400,000 rupees ($6, 221) per kilogram, Fabelle Exquisite Chocolates, a chocolate brand of ITC, revealed the Trinity - Truffles Extraordinaire, a limited edition of truffle chocolate, which has made its way to the Guinness Book of World Records.

French Philippe Conticini, a Michelin Star chef who is the brain behind the concept, said that essence behind the curated chocolate represents the cycle of life and comes in three variants-- Creator, Nurturer, and Destroyer.

He added that the ingredients like Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, dark chocolate, Tahitian vanilla beans, Belgian white chocolate, Piedmont hazelnut, coconut, and almond are collected from countries around the world.

In 2012, Danish artisan chocolate-maker Fritz Knipschildt created the world's most expensive individual chocolate, La Madeline au Truffe, which cost $250 a piece.
