Losing a family member, leaving your home and country is no easy journey. But when Kalesita decided to pursue her degree, It was not only to pursue a new career, it was to fulfill one of many dreams. Dreams of her own and of her mother and father. This was not without adversity, but with the help of her lecturers and Te Puna Waiora she was able to fulfill this dream on her own accord.
