Convenient cop turns around for cars parked in bike lane

Out riding my fixie on a nice day and came across an SUV in the bike lane and a cop at the corner, only to have a taxi come up and park behind the SUV. I flagged the cop and much to my surprise, he turned around and said he would talk to the driver.

At the time, there wasn't much he could do. It wasn't until nearly six months later that a local traffic ordinance was passed to ticket cars parked in the bike lane.
