South Korean car brands are growing in popularity across the world despite the global downturn in auto sales.
According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association,... South Korean automakers accounted for seven-point-seven percent of sales in the U.S. market from January to September this year.
That's up three percentage points from the same period in 2018.
Their market share also grew in Europe by two percentage points to 6.8 percent.
The sales growth has been attributed to the overseas popularity of Korean SUVs and electric vehicles.
However,... combined auto sales in seven major global markets including the U.S., EU, China, and India,... dropped five-point-six percent compared to last year.
