Artist in Residence- Water Marbling - Ebru Art - Teaching Artist

Vesile Yilmaz is an ebru artist. Ebru is the traditional Turkish art of water-marbling. This ancient form of art had been kept as a secret for so many years due to its use in cryptology. Vesile learned this art in Turkey and she has been teaching it to children and adults for the last 10 years.
Vesile is a teacher by profession and she currently works part-time for Elmbrook School district in Wisconsin.
With an artist in residence program, you will learn about the history, technique and cultural significance of ebru art.
