Priyanshu BanSingh (Jogidru village, West Singhbhum district, Jharkhand) was denied admission in primary school last year (after she turned four) as she did not have Aadhaar. She could get an admission only this year after getting Aadhaar. Laukan BanSingh of the same village could not get admission in class six this year as he does not have Aadhaar. He will also lose another year. This stands in stark contrast to Supreme Court's orders that Aadhaar is not mandatory for children to get admission in school.
