CM SAWANT SEEKS SPECIAL PACKAGE FROM CENTRE TO DEAL WITH LOSS DUE TO MINING BAN_Prudent Media Goa

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has attended the Pre-Budget Consultation meeting Chaired by Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman. He has stated that he has pressed for a special package to bear the loss due to mining ban, where the state has been impacted by a direct revenue loss of Rs 1400 Crores. He has informed that he has also sought Centre’s assistance in developing hinterland tourism projects as well as infrastructure of IFFI. Sawant has informed that he has emphasized on developing Goa into an educational and health hub, with the scope to set up institutes like Indian Institute of Management (IIM), National Law College (NLC) & All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS)
