How I Increased My MCAT Bio|Biochem Score!

How I Increased My MCAT Bio|Biochem Score! Watch this video to learn all about how I managed to increase my MCAT Bio/Biochem score. I took my MCAT twice with the specific goal of increasing my score in this section. My score improved from a slightly below average score of 124 to an above average score of 127... in just two months. The score increase made all the difference in balancing out my overall score and increasing my chances of an acceptance. I hope you benefit from the tips I have to offer!

1. Practice makes perfect. Complete as many problems as possible. Review answers thoroughly. UWorld is GOLDEN.
2. Know all of the lab techniques extremely well.
3. Know all of the hormones extremely well.
4. Know the metabolic pathways extremely well. Recognition is NOT good enough.
5. Use MCAT Quicksheets and Miles Down Review.
6. Make use of all AAMC resources and review thoroughly.
7. I CANNOT BELIEVE that I forgot to include this because it is SO IMPORTANT. KNOW YOUR 20 AMINO ACIDS LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND! This includes the structure, the polarity, basic vs. acidic, three-letter code and single letter codes. Know the essential amino acids too.

*Disclaimer #1: I will NOT be discussing any specific topics or questions from my real MCAT exams. I signed a confidentiality agreement and will not violate it.

*Disclaimer #2: The insight included in this video does not guarantee you a score increase. The tips included in this video are solely based on a reflection of my personal MCAT journey. Take everything with a grain of salt. We all have different learning styles, strengths and weaknesses. :)
