🖤Gumbo "Recipe" (in the loosest sense of the word)
Soup base:
Brown equal parts butter and flour on med high heat until a peanut butter color.
Add 20 oz of chicken or vegetable stock.
Season to taste with
cajun seasoning,
salt and pepper,
tomato paste (I usually use about 3 tablespoons)
Celery salt
Smoked paprika
Garlic powder
Splash of vinegar
Soup Fillers:
16 oz cooked chicken
12 oz shrimp
8oz andoullie sausage
Mirepoix: Diced celery, onion and carrot (sauté before adding to soup)
Chopped crimini mushrooms
Handful of fresh or frozen chopped kale.
