Southeast Collegiate Fitness Expo Proposal: How to Keep You Clients Motivated Long-Term Session description: Many clients seek out personal trainers with a specific goal in mind. Often times these goals are “body-related”. Join me for a quick 30 minute session that will focus on the psychology of exercise as it relates to what motivates participants to adhere to exercise programs long-term. Previous research on the psychology of exercise motivation will be looked at and the focus will be on how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation plays a role in clients starting an exercise program, as well as how you keep your client motivated. In this session you will learn ways to have these discussions with your clients. Real life client scenarios will be presented to discuss with the group.
