The Kerala government headed by CM Pinarayi Vijayan has decided not to implement the proposed National Population Register (NPR). This comes after the Kerala government moved the Supreme Court against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) recently and also passed a resolution against the law. On Monday, the Kerala cabinet decided to not implement NPR in the state. The government said the Census Registrar General will be informed about the decision and that Census will be done as per norms.
