Cutting off Christian's 3rd infant scoliosis cast

Cutting off Christian's 3rd infant scoliosis cast Cutting Christian's 3rd infant scoliosis cast off. He gets anesthesia etc. Again and his next cast on Friday at shriners hospital in Philadelphia. Until then though, he can take some baths and get a haircut and we are going a day early because he has to fast on the morning of his procedure so it's better he's closer to the hospital and also so we can take him to a hotel with a pool and do other fun stuff with him before he gets his next one and especially the water stuff like baths and showers etc. Things he can't do with the cast on. The doctor did a great job with this cast as he has no cuts and hardly no welts and less bruising then normal, just one bruise on center of chest which looks like it hurts and one kinda small bruise / welt on his lower back. By eye to me, it depends what angle I look at it in regards to whether it looks straighter or not. One time I look at it and it looks bad and one angle I'm like oh, a little better lol. He is not getting an x-ray until at least after the next cast though because of the radiation and they wanna give him as little radiation as possible of course. As long as we can keep that curve under 80 degrees by the time he's almost done growing then it really don't matter what degree it is. I mean the lower it goes the better of course but we just don't want him to have multiple surgeries with bars and screws to the spine etc.. It's better if he can just have one surgery when he is almost done growing if we can keep the curve from going past like 80 degrees by than. It was at 55 and last x-ray I think it went down to like 44 degrees with the casting and brace that we switched to in the summer that he can take off once a day. The cast can't come off at all. It pains me and I hate that he has to go through this at all of course but he is so tough and strong with all that extra weight and pain and discomfort etc. Even when we go out for hours to like the zoo with all that walking etc. He never complains. He really is amazing and deals with it better then I ever would. Thank you to all who have prayed for him & been there for him and us. please continue to pray for him and we appreciate it so much and are so thankful!! God bless!.... #infantscoliosis #mehtacast #shrinershospital #Philadelphia #myamazingboy #spine #curve
