More often than not, they are perceived as unemployed, uneducated and marrying a foreigner as an easy way to make themselves comfortable. We spoke to a few of the women on our site and they shared what they do for a living.

Life in the Philippines is challenging, working hard is a given and Filipino women are no exception.
Filipina girls are trained and educated to learn basic home chores and housekeeping, this a core value that every Filipina knows by heart but it doesn’t stop them from realizing their professional goals. Filipina women move at a pace with the modern world while remaining true to their traditional roots.

Modern Filipinas are ambitious, practical and independent. They are more empowered than ever. Their contributions to Filipino society are evident in their roles as career women and not uncommonly, as providers of their families. For some, who have limited education, they don’t let it hinder them from finding a humble job that will provide for themselves. They don’t just wait around for a man to sweep off their feet or offer the world to them.
