How to Install an OEM Short Throw Shifter | 2020 Subaru STI |

See how to install an OEM short throw shifter. This installation is in my 2020 STI, but along the way I show you how the shifter works and what it looks like in action. There are a few short throw shifters on the market and regardless of which you pick this video can be of some benefit to watch. If your car is older and your shifter has become loose over time, I recommend getting this with a bushing, rather than the options that only replace the lever that way not only do you get a short-throw shifter, but you also firm up the whole assembly to its as-new condition.

Tools to follow along:
Ratcheting Wrench set (12mm, 14mm) →
Socket wrench set (10mm, 12mm, 14mm)
Breaker bar (have is available just in case)
Panel Removal Tools →
Needlenose pliers
Phillips Screwdriver
Flathead Screwdriver
Torque wrench →
Gasket (if you remove the midpipe it is recommended to replace the gasket)
