From Some of the schooling we do while out on the trails. This is Tell, a recent graduate of our Ultimate Trail Horse Finishing Program. He is a six year old AQHA Palomino Gelding.

Everyone wants the same thing, a good looking, safe trail horse. While a lot of miles on the trail gets those wet saddle blankets and plenty of experience, we also want out horses finished in the arena. That finish work will allow them to be soft on the bit, easy to move off your legs and the ability to have smooth, naturally collected gaits.

We take the arena training and apply it out on the trail. Many times, they are not as responsive on the trails, so it can be a great place to reestablish leadership and trust. Leg yielding will give your horse a lot of body control and responsiveness. A great exercise.
