In this video, Art shares his observation of the pro photography display market within the past decade, how it has change and gave his prediction of where we are heading! At the start of 2010 there were really only 2 displays manufacturers that made hardware calibrate display, the price were unattainable for most. Fast forward to current day, 2020, and the landscape is much different. We now have over 7 manufactures who are now competing in the pro photo display market. We have seen the industry move from general display to more task specific displays for different creative uses. The move from CCFL back lit to White LED that improves the display backlight quality and longevity. And we have seen the start of BenQ in 2015 entering the market with their pro photography display the SW2700PT, that comes with the shading hood standard, a hockey puck for quick color mode change and preview, and a price point that is unmatched and unseen before in this area of pro photo display!
In addition to the State of Pro Photo Displays, Art, has also shared 2019 year end of BenQ too. It has been a really busy year for them with many great pro displays released in 2019.
