Containment of novel coronavirus 'probably not possible' and outbreak may become 'pandemic': Expert

Dr Jennifer Nuzzo, a scholar at the John Hopkins Center for Health Security, says it’s “near impossible” for countries to keep the virus out of their borders.

“Unfortunately the more I see data on this epidemic ... the more I am convinced that containment is probably not possible; that we should be considering the fact that this may become a pandemic, if we are not already in a pandemic,” she said.
