LA native Cassius Stanley reflects on how Kobe Bryant helped steer him to Duke

Duke freshman guard Cassius Stanley says he had a conversation with Kobe Bryant before he committed that was the final confirmation he needed to sign with the Blue Devils. A native of Los Angeles, Stanley said he couldn’t function on Sunday after hearing the news. Stanley spoke after scoring 11 points including a key 3-pointer late in Duke’s 79-67 win over Pitt.
