A team of highly trained medical and logistical specialists are bound for Christmas Island to treat Australians transported to the island for a 14-day quarantine of coronavirus. The crew is part of the National Critical Care and Trauma Centre based out of Darwin and is expected to spend up to two weeks on Christmas Island where they will set up a makeshift medical centre aimed to isolate anyone showing symptoms of the deadly coronavirus.
