COVID-19: Around 10,000 people attended religious gathering at Kuala Lumpur mosque Malaysia said it has entered the early containment stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. New Health Minister Adham Baba also said the situation is "under control", despite a new cluster involving a religious gathering at the Sri Petaling Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. Some 10,000 people from several countries attended the gathering. Half of those were Malaysians, and a Malaysian in his sixties has been tested positive for COVID-19. Another person who was there -- a Brunei citizen -- also tested positive. Authorities in Sarawak are now tracking passengers who were seated near the man onboard an AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Miri.
