It's frustrating when a zipper breaks suddenly - the first thought is to get rid of the trousers. Don’t! Zippers fail all the time even ones which look pretty sturdy so it’s wiser to repair them rather than throwing the clothes away. The job is pretty easy, most people are able to do the repair quite quickly without even removing it from the item. Probably the most common problem is that the slider comes off one side of
the teeth. A simple snip in the right place and re-positioning of the slider quickly resolves the issue.
