The Agent Interview is Constant When you meet someone - either at an open house or during networking event; you are being interviewed. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a "nosey neighbor". As a customer, when I search for a professional I go out and meet them and evaluate them. When I sold a place in Texas in early 2000 I went to open houses to find the right agent that was knowledgable about the neighborhood, the market and who had a great marketing strategy!

Remember that you are always "on stage" and always being evaluated. I recently had a conversation with a developer in Florida during an event. I did not know what he did for a living; however we talked about real estate for nearly 30 minutes. After the conversation, he handed me a business card and invited me to lunch with his partner. They are looking at doing a large acquisition to put up a mixed use development in Lee County Florida. The entire conversation was an interview.
