190902 - Range 1 (high tailbone centered hands, back left tricep center, zero wrist cock, SQ2SQ) New Setup:

1. Right Shoulder in Socket with Loose Right Hand (my swing usually fail here): stand tall and keep the right shoulder in socket. Loose right hand so it is wrapped around but barely holding the club. Right arm soft slightly bent but mostly straight. Set the left arm above the right. Bend from the hips to set the Tailbone Center, if the right socket position is intact this should feel natural.

2. Tailbone Center and Hand Center (Square the Feet): center tailbone in high position (square the feet), center hands in front of tailbone, butt end of club under tailbone. Set pelvic angle with thighs but keep relaxed so pelvis can rotate on tilt. Once this setup correctly, tailbone and hand center it can be ignored during swing *if this feels off, recheck right shoulder socket position by standing tall then readdressing ball*

3. Butt End of Club and Left Tricep Center: set butt end of club behind left tricep, use left tricep as pivot for butt end of club. Left arm over right arm. Putting the butt end of club behind the left tricep should make the left hand around under the left shoulder. Once this is setup correctly, the left tricep center must be a conscious effort during the swing *if this feels off, recheck right shoulder socket position by standing tall then readdressing ball*

4. Clubhead Center: Set clubhead above hands around shoulder height when leaning over it. Hands swing around waist under the tailbone, clubhead swings around shoulders.

5. Zero Wrist Cock: backswing with *zero wrist cock*, square clubface to P2. Focus on swing to rotate around back left tricep pivot.

6. Square to Square: downswing focus on followthru using square, square clubface to spine at P8. Focus on swing to rotate around back left tricep pivot.

*When swing breaks down* stand tall and reset right shoulder position, recenter tailbone and hands focus on pelvis and posture, swing easy. Zero Wrist Cock.

***Putting Key (SC Phantom X 12, 31"): Center putter butt end with belly button. Set putter shaft to swing along thigh angle turning from the belly. Use thighs to putt. SHORT PUTTS: focus on right hand keeping the clubface pointed at putting line. LONG PUTTS: focus on distance control, relax the right hand and putt with both hands flowing. Remember where the putter faces is where the balls goes and is more important than stroke path.***

***Chipping Landing Zone: Imagine the flag stick is placed where the intended ball is to land. Hit the ball to land on the imaginary flag stick.***

***Short Chip/Short Bunker/Pitching Key: More belly drop means higher pitch. Keep tailbone above butt end of club at setup to and set thigh and pelvic angle, point butt end of club at inner left shoulder. Left arm above right arm, left elbow in front of big toe (bend from left hip, use square to square. On downswing fold the pelvis/belly down towards inner left thigh, bending from the hips, for more of a bump use less pelvis/belly down keeping the right shoulder inside of the left shoulder. Belly drop towards inner left thigh. Expose the club bounce when chipping and swing to utilize the bounce.***
