What advantages do human traders have over algos? Can algorithmic trading systems beat human traders? Are algorithms going to replace traders? Will traders still be able to compete with algorithms in 5 years? I'd also like to hear your thoughts about this. We hear all the time about man vs machine and what the future has for us. With algos I'm referring to a strategy that is trading for you. i.e. the machine that is sitting there and trading as opposed to you sitting there and taking the decisions. An algo is programmed by a human. Humans are adding their seed to the algo so to speak... So you still have to give the algo your rules or guidance on how it should do things. How will the robot adopt to future market conditions when these charge? I'm not discussing high frequency trading here btw. Humans also have a quality that is absent from robots: and that is intuition.
