Finally! Our Scamp trailer towing test results are in! After two seasons of towing the scamp trailer up and down Alaskan mountain passes we felt it was time to do some mileage tests. Wow, seriously these incredible mpg results are just that...INCREDIBLE! When sharing our travel trailer towing tips and tricks many of you have asked to know our gas mileage towing a trailer. We have anecdotally mentioned many times that we get great gas mileage pulling a trailer, but we have never taken the time to actually run proper mpg tests. In this episode of Playing with Sticks we will be towing the Scamp Trailer on straight roads, hills, and over Alaskan mountain passes to get towing results in a mixture of scenarios.
If this is your first time to our channel we often pull our teardrop trailer and a scamp trailer with only a 4 cylinder car. If you think pulling a Scamp trailer with a 4 cyl sounds almost impossible, we must admit we felt the same way at first as well. However, over the years we have found that towing a scamp trailer with 4 cylinders is a pretty good match for ALMOST all scenarios.
