Delhi Assembly elections will be held in single phase on February 8 while results will be announced on February 11, the Election Commission of India said today. The poll watchdog has also published the final electoral list, according to which 1.46 crore voters are eligible to cast their franchise in the Delhi elections.

The term of the 70-member Delhi Assembly is ending on February 22 and a new House has to be constituted before that. Led by Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power in Delhi in February 2015 sweeping 67 of the 70 Assembly seats.
