Fishing for Bull Redfish is legendary here in the Southeastern USA. The fishermen here love fishing for Redfish. Some Anglers take it a step further by fishing for "Bull Redfish" or "Red Drum" ranging from 20 to 50 pounds regularly. These monster size Drum fish are flourishing in brackish river mouths that drain into the Atlantic ocean. States such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Northeast Florida boast thousands of Bull Reds also called Drum each spring and fall season.
Brackish water inlets create the perfect habitat for Bull Reds. Good saltwater salinity, baitfish and mullet is good cut bait for Redfish. These areas are the perfect conditions for a healthy red drum environment. Certain areas near the Georgia Florida line offer up giant Bull Reds running second only to North Carolina.
